The Morgue

Today marks the release of “The Morgue”, which is the 3rd and final single from Cannonball Statman’s upcoming self-titled 32nd album – this single is now available both on streaming services and as part of the BandCamp pre-order of the album, which will be released in its entirety on the 17th of October.

Here it is on YouTube!

“The Morgue” is one of Cannonball’s songs that’s changed and grown over the years, with a number of recordings of earlier, often quite different versions to be found on other releases of his, including Year of the Swimming Dogs (2015). Apart from the version that’s just been released, my personal favourite might have to be this video of Cannonball playing “The Morgue” in Taiwan, on his 2016-’19 World Tour.

Don’t forget that in addition to the songs that are available on streaming services and as part of the pre-order, the song “Henry Hudson” is also already available as part of Killing The Flowers Will Not Delay Spring, a benefit compilation by queer New York artists for the Freedom Theatre in Jenin.

See you soon!
