Hummingcone

This is a concept album about a material that would be used to create a new universe from scratch after destroying the fabric of the current one.

I made it in Oaxaca City, Mexico in mid-2016, while I was there to help my parents with their big move when they retired from teaching, after living in NYC nearly all their lives.

A lot of the lyrics are quotes from a former bandmate of mine who was sending angry, methamphetamine-fueled love letters to me and a bunch of my friends from the NY antifolk scene, claiming I had recently hired him as my manager.

Katherine Koch took the photo on the album cover, in Oaxaca, 2016.

Jesse wrote the lyrics and music, played the guitar and sang, engineered and produced the recordings, and designed the album cover, also in Oaxaca, also in 2016.
