This comes from a poem I wrote when I was 15 called “Bath, Maine”; it was inspired by the same events as my song “Pennsylvania”.

It was one of the first things I recorded when I started making music again in my mid-teens after a long hiatus, and it was one of the recordings that laid the groundwork for a lot of what I’ve done since. It never fit on any album, so I decided to release it on its own.
