Live on the Independents Tour

This was a live album from the Salford date of my 2015 UK tour with JD Meatyard.

Notable for being my first release with UK label German Shepherd Records and my last release in the “Frankenguitar” tuning and style that I was known for in those years.

This was also a historic gig, because it was the final gig of the legendary Hamsters, who performed with us that night and also released a recording of their set on German Shepherd. There’s also a recording of JD Meatyard’s set from that night, which is equally incredible; what a night.

Recorded live at The Crescent, Salford on 31st October 2015 as part of the Independents Tour with Hamsters. JD Meatyard, Mick Conroy and Tamsin A.

“One part Les Claypool. One part Mr. Bungle. All parts acoustic folk punk. Cannonball Statman has some zany lyrics and amazing guitar skills, but the real spectacle comes from his live shows. Statman has done everything, from dancing onstage to bringing the microphone and stand into the middle of a crowded room for the audience to scream at the top of their lungs because of a forced amputation. This Brooklyn native frequently plays shows around NYC,” The Aquarian Weekly
