A snow day in Prospect Park, NYC, 2010, set to my instrumental “Skyline” that I wrote and recorded around the same time.

The music for this one was interesting for me to make, since it’s different from a lot of my other work. It’s mostly a combination of pipa, singing saw, and electric piano, and with more of a contemporary classical vibe to it; it’s mostly music that I improvised on the spot while recording it, though, and many of my friends in the classical scene would consider it to be more in the vein of jazz or popular music on that basis.

This was part of a series of short videos I made in this vein throughout the year 2010, with various happenings in NYC set to some of the music I was making at the time. The first one was Blizzard, which I shot at the end of 2009 and released in 2010.
